Portland State becomes the fifth known opponent on the non-conference slate along with Connecticut, Florida State, Notre Dame and Arkansas.
The Vikings finished the 2018-19 season ranked No. 286 in the country according to KenPom.
A member of the Big Sky Conference, Portland State finished 16-16 last year, including 11-9 in league play. They won seven of their last eight regular season games before bowing out in the first round of the Big Sky Tournament against Weber State to end their season.
Portland State played two power-five opponents on the road last year. They lost at Oregon 84-57 and at Stanford 79-67.
The Vikings should be led by junior point guaard Holland Woods. The Phoenix native averaged 15 points and 5.3 assists per game.
Viking head coach Barret Peery has been at the helm for two seasons and has a career 36-30 record. Portland State played competitively against Duke and Butler in 2017 under Peery, including just a two point loss to the Bulldogs.
They also defeated Stanford and California in the 2017-18 season, finishing 20-14 and playing in the CIT postseason tournament.
