According to a report by Rocco Miller, Indiana will host UNC Greensboro on Nov. 21.
Under the direction of third-year coach Mike Jones, UNCG finished the 2023-24 season with a 21-11 record overall, including 12-6 in the Southern Conference. Included in their 21 wins, the Spartans pulled off a road upset win at Arkansas a year ago.
They finished the year ranked No. 147 overall according to KenPom. In Bart Torvik’s projections for next season, UNCG is currently ranked No. 133.
Key returning players for the Spartans from last year are Donovan Atwell (11.2 ppg), Jalen Breath (6.6 ppg) and Joryam Saizonou (5.9 ppg). They’re welcoming key transfers Kenyon Giles (14.3 ppg, Radford) and Ronald Polite (7.5 ppg, George Mason).
The programs have met twice all-time. Both contests were held in Bloomington. Indiana won 71-63 in 2003, and 87-79 in 2014.
The news means 28 of IU’s 31 regular season games are now known, although opponents have not yet been revealed for the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.
