Former Hoosiers will unite in Houston, while a homecoming of sorts in Indiana has reportedly come to an end.
Former IU star Victor Oladipo has been traded to the Houston Rockets according to multiple reports. Shama Charania of the Athletic appears to have been the first to report the news.
The deal is part of a megadeal that sends James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets and former Michigan star Caris Levert and a second-round draft pick to the Pacers.
Oladipo, who came back a year ago after a serious knee injury, had recently started his fourth season with Indiana. He is averaging 20 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.7 steals in 33.3 minutes per contest.
The former IU star will join fellow Hoosier Eric Gordon in Houston.
Oladipo arrived at IU in 2010 as a 3-star recruit. He was named the Sporting News Men’s College Basketball Player of the Year in 2013, the National Co-Defensive Player of the Year, and a first-team All-American by the USBWA and Sporting News. He was selected with the second pick of the first round of the 2013 draft by the Orlando Magic.
