As the clock ticks down to the final days, IU is making one final push.
According to multiple reports, Indiana coaches traveled to Minnesota today to visit with their top target on the class of 2020 recruiting board.
Ryan McMullen of Zags Blog reported that both Indiana and Memphis visited Dawson Garcia for an in-home visit on Sunday.
The visit is one of several for Indiana with Garcia in recent weeks, including an Oct. 25-27 official to the IU Bloomington campus.
The 6-foot-11 Garcia is the No. 31 recruit nationally according to the 247Sports Composite. A versatile stretch four or point forward, Garcia averaged 27.5 points and 11 rebounds a game as a high school junior at Prior Lake for a 25-4 top five ranked team.
Indiana 2020 commit Anthony Leal told The Daily Hoosier that both he and fellow commit Trey Galloway are friends with Garcia.

“I’ve been friends with Dawson Garcia the last year or two playing against him on the circuit,” Leal said. Both Leal and Galloway were on the IU campus and involved with Garcia’s October visit.
Garcia told Rivals this about his relationships with the IU coaches —
“Coach Miller has made a really good impression. They’ve been coaching me throughout this entire recruiting process and they aren’t all just hyping me up. Tom (Ostrom) I’ve known him for a long time throughout the process and he’s been really good to me. They’ve all been really real, that stands out a lot.”
Garcia is the last major class of 2020 recruiting target on the board for IU right now.
The Prior Lake, Minnesota product is set to announce his decision this week. Garcia’s final four schools are Indiana, Minnesota, Memphis and Marquette.
