According to multiple reports, class of 2023 in-state guard Joey Hart will visit Indiana early this week.
The 6-foot-5 Hart decommitted from Central Florida in May and is in the process of looking for a new home in relatively short order. Most of Indiana’s freshmen in the class of 2023 have already arrived on campus in Bloomington.
Hart chose UCF over Toledo, Evansville and Ball State, and then subsequently raised his profile with a strong senior season.
He led Linton-Stockton H.S. to the Class 2A State Finals while averaging 23.6 points and shooting 41 percent from three this season.
Playing for Grand Park Premier, Hart was the leading scorer at the Under Armor Association through their two 2022 April sessions and participated at the Under Armor Top 60. He is rated a three-star top-200 recruit, according to 247 Sports.
Based just 40 minutes away from the IU campus, Hart is someone this IU staff has been aware for a while. He also took a visit to Indiana a couple years ago.
According to multiple reports, Hart will also visit Kentucky later in the week.
Indiana has one open scholarship on their 2023-24 roster.
