Indiana University basketball recruiting target Romeo Langford played the last game of the regular season of his senior year in of all places — Bloomington. Langford had another big game with 46 points, including 32 in the first half.
New Albany improved to 21-1 on the season and has now won 18 games in a row as it moves into sectional play. The Bulldogs have a first round sectional bye and will play the winner of Seymour and Jennings County on Friday.
Langford needs 283 points to catch Damon Bailey. If New Albany advances to the state championship game it will play a total of six more games. Langford would need to average an unlikely 47.17 points per game to reach Bailey in the state final. He would need to average 28 points to finish 2nd all time.
