It should come as no surprise that Indiana University basketball recruiting target Romeo Langford has won the state of Indiana’s Mr. Basketball award signifying the top player for 2018.
Langford is fourth on the Indiana high school boys basketball all-time scoring list with 3,002 points. He averaged 35.5 points per game as a senior, along with 9.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists and three steals.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Langford was named on 264 of the 294 ballots submitted by coaches and media. He is the first winner from New Albany.
Langford is set to announce his college choice tomorrow night. If he chooses Indiana, he would be the first Indiana Mr. Basketball to attend IU since Cody Zeller, who won the award in 2011.
