There was a heavy IU basketball flavor at the sultry Saturday afternoon kickoff of the 2023 IU football season.
Program alumni Jalen Hood-Schifino, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Race Thompson, Nate Childress, Romeo Langford, Rob Phinisee and Devonte Green were all there. Jackson-Davis was watching his brother Tayven make his debut as IU quarterback.
They even shot some t-shirts into the crowd and were introduced to the fans.
Head coach Mike Woodson was there too, along with everyone from the current team.
Woodson and his staff were also busy with several recruiting targets who were on campus, including 2025 top-50 prospects Jalen Haralson, Darius Adams and Malachi Moreno.
