With the 2022 class rounding into its final form, the Indiana staff is largely pivoting to 2023 and beyond.
Visits by several members of the junior and sophomore classes have emerged in recent days. Here is a quick recap.
Class of 2023 Bloomington based forward JQ Roberts took a visit to IU today based on a post on his Instagram account. The North High School forward and Indiana Elite AAU product emerged this summer and interest in the 6-foot-6 prospect has soared. IUPUI, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois, Indiana State, Stetson, Akron, Bradley and Massachusetts have all offered scholarships, and Roberts has the potential to see high majors follow suit. Expecting this visit a couple weeks ago, we profiled Roberts in a names to know feature.
2023 point guard Jeremy Fears, Jr. visited in June and is set to return on Sept. 18 according to a post on his Twitter account. Indiana offered Fears when he took the first visit, and he has since played at a high level for Bradley Beal Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit, and for the U16 Team USA squad. A priority 2023 recruit for IU, Fears will also visit Michigan and Illinois in September as he tours Big Ten schools during football season. The IU visit by the top-50 prospect corresponds to the Hoosiers’ highly anticipated top-20 football matchup with Cincinnati.
2023 guard Joey Brown has scheduled a visit in connection with Hoosier Hysteria on Oct. 2 his AAU program tells us. From Indianapolis North Central High School, the 6-foot-6 Brown is expected to have a breakout junior season. Now that the Panthers’ leading scorer Leland Walker has transferred Brown is expected to play with the ball in his hands more and take on a primary scoring role. The George Hill All Indy AAU product has early offers from LSU and Illinois. The 6-foot-6 Brown was injured for a portion of the AAU season and thus flew under the radar a bit.
2024 guard Jacob Theodosiou will also visit for Hoosier Hysteria his father told The Daily Hoosier. A 6-foot-3 Canadian prospect, Theodosiou represented Team Canada this summer and shot 52 percent from 3-point range. He plays for the Pennsylvania based Wildcats Select AAU program and attends Western Reserve in Ohio. South Carolina, Lehigh and Youngstown State have already offered, with several other high majors following him closely.
As previously reported 2023 forward Kaleb Glenn is a third known visitor for Hoosier Hysteria. The Louisville-based wing recently announced a top-four of IU, Louisville, Texas A&M and Tennessee and is expected to announce a decision this winter. A top-50 prospect in his class, Glenn also took an IU visit in June.
