Updating an earlier report, we have received the following release from Indiana University regarding junior guard Devonte Green:
“Indiana University junior Devonte Green, a member of the men’s basketball team, has been suspended from game competition for not meeting the standards expected of members of the program. There will be no further comment on the matter at this time.”

BREAKING: We are hearing through multiple sources that Indiana basketball junior guard Devonte Green did not make the trip to Northwestern for tonight’s game against the Wildcats and may be facing a suspension due to a violation of team and/or NCAA rules.
We will update this breaking story as additional information becomes available.
Green has appeared in 14 games this season, starting in five of those contests. The North Babylon, New York native is averaging 8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.1 turnovers per game on the season.
The Hoosiers tip-off with Northwestern at 9:00 p.m. Eastern on BTN.
Green played 19 minutes in the first meeting this season between IU and Northwestern on Dec. 1. He scored six points and added two assists, two rebounds, a steal and no turnovers.
