Class of 2022 5-star forward Jalen Washington is beginning to emerge this spring, as he starts to realize the promising potential that had been delayed by multiple serious injuries during his first two years of high school basketball.
The 6-foot-9 Washington was offered by Indiana in 2019, and several others have joined in the pursuit of the Gary, Ind. product, including North Carolina and Illinois in recent weeks.
Washington’s game has evolved over the last year. Most notably, he has become a knock-down perimeter shooter out to the 3-point line. Meanwhile, he is beginning to regain much of his explosiveness and athleticism as his knee has fully recovered from surgery in the fall of 2019. Below are several different looks at Washington in action, all from just the last few weeks.
