Class of 2026 top-40 wing Aidan Chronister will make a return trip to visit Bloomington next month.
According to multiple reports on X and reposted by Chronister, that visit will take place on Sept. 7.
Chronister was at Indiana on multiple occasions last year, including a full day for Hoosier Hysteria in October.
“Hoosier Hysteria was amazing,” Chronister told The Daily Hoosier when we caught up with him in July in connection with a Pro16/NXT Puma Circuit stop in Lebanon, Ind.
“I was there for the whole day, got to see a little bit of campus, got to meet all of the coaching staff, got to see practice.”
The 6-foot-7 Chronister hails from Rogers, Ark. and he attends national prep program Sunrise Christian. According to the On3 Industry Average, Chronister is the No. 39 overall player in the 2026 class, and a 4-star. He could play a number of wing-oriented roles at the next level.
“I’m a shooting guard, my strong suit is definitely shooting a passing,” he told TDH. “But I’m definitely working on getting downhill and getting my handle right. I’d say you can’t leave me open but you can’t give me a step either. I’d say I’m really versatile, I don’t really need to score to make the team better. I’m good off the ball, cutting, whatever the coach needs me to do is what I’ll do.”
Chronister said Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Creighton are some of the main schools he hears from regularly. Nebraska, Arkansas and Missouri have been involved as well. He’ll also visit Michigan on Aug. 31 according to the same reports.
When it comes to Indiana, Chronister is aware of the importance of basketball in the state and at IU specifically. He got a sense for that first hand at Hoosier Hysteria.
“Hearing from my dad, it has always been such a big program,” he told TDH. “I’ve always heard about their fans, they’re crazy about basketball. Indiana is known as a basketball state for sure. And going there and seeing it definitely helped.”
Chronister said last month he is hearing from IU recruiting staff members Jordan Hulls and Adam Howard on a regular basis.
“Every week they text me or call me,” he said. “They for sure seem very interested.
“They (Indiana) preach NBA, which I really like. They definitely know how to get people to the next level. I think they have the most NBA players ever for the Big Ten, so they definitely know how to get people there for sure.”
