On April 3, 1987 President Ronald Reagan met with Bob Knight and the national champion Indiana Hoosiers at the White House Rose Garden after Indiana’s 74-73 win over Syracuse four days earlier.

Note: The records show that the President visited West Lafayette on April 9, 1987. No national championships were discussed during his remarks there.
