Indiana had a highly-ranked member of the class of 2026 on campus Tuesday for an unofficial visit.
Top-20 forward Anthony Thompson posted pictures on his X account from his photo shoot in an IU uniform.

A 6-foot-7 Ohio product, Thompson also visited IU in February when the Hoosiers hosted Northwestern. That’s when Mike Woodson offered a scholarship.
“Indiana is a great basketball school, and all the fans show it at Assembly Hall,” he told On3’s Jamie Shaw in March. “I think that they play really controlled on offense. I can fit in with that by being able to do lots of things while playing on the wing and creating opportunities on both sides of the court.”
Thompson was unranked when IU offered, but he’s moved to No. 11 in the 2026 class at 247Sports, and No. 13 at Rivals. He projects as a small forward/combo forward at the next level.
After playing at Lebanon H.S. (Lebanon, Ohio) his first two years, Thompson is transferring. He will attend Western Reserve Academy, a school in Hudson, Ohio, this upcoming school year. Thompson averaged 15.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.3 steals as a sophomore for Lebanon.
Thompson plays for Indiana Elite on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit for spring and summer basketball.
Purdue, Stanford, Xavier, Cincinnati, Texas, Ohio State, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Illinois, and Marquette have also offered Thompson.
