Indiana is likely to be missing two of its tallest players when they face a long BC Mega squad this weekend.
The Daily Hoosier has learned that centers Michael Durr and Logan Duncomb are unlikely to play in IU’s foreign tour games against the Serbian professional team.
Although IU has not disclosed specifics, neither player is thought to be dealing with any kind of serious long-term injury.
The 7-foot Durr announced that he was transferring to Indiana in May and joined the program soon thereafter. As we reported last week, he has had a positive influence in recent practices, including helping with the development of All-American forward Trayce Jackson-Davis.
Duncomb, a 6-foot-10 freshman from Cincinnati, was a consensus top-100 recruit. He is expected to emerge after a year or two in the program after he grows behind Jackson-Davis, Durr, and others.
The Hoosiers will battle BC Mega in two contests in the Bahamas on Friday, August 13 and Sunday, August 15. The contests will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and at 1 p.m. on Sunday in the Imperial Ballroom at Atlantis Paradise Island. Neither game will be televised or broadcast on the radio.
Stay tuned to The Daily Hoosier for complete coverage of both games.
