After just 20 appearances with the Houston Rockets following his mid-January trade from the Indiana Pacers, former Indiana All-American guard Victor Oladipo was traded again Thursday to the Miami Heat for Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk as well as a draft swap, according to multiple reports.
Oladipo spends much of his off-seasons in Miami, so it was a destination for him. The trade moves him from a team that was going nowhere quickly to a team that is in playoff position. The Heat are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference at 22-22. The Rockets just snapped a 20-game losing streak and are 12-31, 11 games back of the No. 8 seed San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference and just 2 1/2 games ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves for the worst record in the conference.
Oladipo averaged 21.2 points, 5.0 assists and 4.8 rebounds with the Rockets in 20 games after averaging 20.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists with the Pacers in nine games before the January trade.
