Defensive coordinator Kane Wommack provided an update with fall camp now well underway.
Wommack begins his second season in charge of the defense after taking over for head coach Tom Allen.
IU finished 36th nationally in 2019 in total defense, including 43rd in rushing defense, 46th in passing defense, and 45th in scoring defense.
Indiana returns most of its contributors on the defensive side of the football from 2019, although it has already suffered injuries to Marcelino Ball and Raheem Layne.
