Indiana University head football coach Tom Allen hasn’t hesitated to say that the defensive line is the biggest question mark on the 2019 IU football team. While there are some familiar names, there are concerns when it comes to size and depth at the position.
Former IU linebacker and current defensive line coach Mark Hagen took questions on Monday.
As a player, Hagen led the team in tackles three-straight years from 1989-91, and he was the team’s Balfour Award recipient in 1991 for bringing distinction and honor to the university. He is tied for fifth in Hoosiers history with 336 career tackles.
