Hood-Schifino was chosen with the 17th pick of the first round by the Los Angeles Lakers.
At Indiana, he started all 32 games he played, and averaged 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 0.8 steals per contest. Hood-Schifino was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
