Watch Below as former Indiana guard Matt Roth spoke with WANE 15 News about accepting the head coach position at Blackhawk Christian in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Roth came to IU from Washington Ill. and played in Bloomington from 2008 to 2012 under Tom Crean. During IU’s 2011-12 season he shot a Big Ten best 54.5 percent from 3-point range (2nd best ever at IU) and 59.2 percent in league games (an IU record). He tied for 10th all-time in IU career 3-point field goal percentage (41.4 percent).
Further below is a video compilation of Roth making 3-pointers for IU. He was often described as having “in the gym” range, and CBS commentator Clark Kellogg would often refer to Roth as an Allen wrench because he truly was a shooting specialist for the Hoosiers.
