Former IU basketball and Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo is playing tonight at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the first time since he left the Pacers organization during the 2020-21 season.
The 30-year-old Oladipo is now in his ninth season in the NBA, and third with Miami. Injuries have plagued his career since a devastating right quadriceps tendon rupture in 2019.
The Heat are taking a cautious approach this season with Oladipo after he dealt with left knee tendonitis. He has averaged 8.7 points while shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 25 percent on threes, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 20.9 minutes per game off the bench in his first three appearances of the season.
