Watch as IU football running back Ty Son Lawton met with the media this week.
The 5-foot-9 and 208-pound Lawton is set to begin his seventh season of college football. The New York native has appeared in 39 career games with 22 starts.
Lawton spent five seasons at Stony Brook (2018-22) and one season at James Madison (2023).
He was named first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association as a junior. Lawton has rushed for 2,660 yards on 583 carries and 26 touchdowns in his career.
Indiana opens the 2024 season on Aug. 31 against Florida International in Bloomington.
