Pat Knight, former IU player and son of legendary Indiana coach Bob Knight, was introduced to the crowd at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Friday evening.
Knight is the head coach of the Marian Knights, an Indianapolis-based team in town for a preseason exhibition.
Knight was wearing a shirt that said “The General” on the front in honor of his father, who passed away one year ago today.
Upon being introduced to a thunderous applause from the IU crowd, Knight walked over to center court and kissed the IU logo.
