The Indiana Hoosiers (16-13, 9-8) are set to host the 16th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes (23-7, 14-3) for the final regular season home game of the 2017-18 season. Take a look at what some of the various Ohio State media outlets are saying about tonight’s game:
ANDREW DAKICH ON PLAYING AT INDIANA
“Bucknuts” has video of Andrew Dakich’s response to being asked about his feelings regarding playing a game at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall where he spent time as a kid when his dad was the Hoosier coach. This is worth a quick listen. There was perhaps a missed opportunity by the reporter for a tongue-in-cheek follow up to ask if Dakich has plans to complete the circle and squeeze in an extra year of eligibility to play for the Hoosiers next year.
PLAYING FOR THE SILVER?
Coming off a tough stretch of games Ohio State has gone from controlling its own destiny for the outright Big Ten title to needing help to claim a share. The Lantern discusses the team’s reaction to recent losses on the road at Penn State and Michigan and how it has impacted them in the locker room including this quote from CJ Jackson:
“You come here to win championships, and that’s what we wanted to do,” Jackson said. “Obviously we dropped those two last week and it hurt us in the standings part. But mentally in the locker room, we still have the same goal in mind. Take the floor tomorrow, get ready to play against a hungry Indiana team. So that’s all we can control at this point.”
REVISIONIST HISTORY
Perhaps as a ploy to generate clicks, or perhaps misinformed, “Eleven Warriors” tweeted this out along with their game preview:
Archie Miller's team entered the season with the hype, but Chris Holtmann's squad has enjoyed the success in 2017-18. https://t.co/QYbg8DJzlx

We’d love to see any Archie Miller / Indiana preseason hype stories. Most predictions had them in the bottom half to bottom third of the league, meaning that if anything, they’ve exceeded expectations on the year.
Their game preview also seems to erroneously have Justin Smith in the starting lineup tonight unless they know something we don’t. We’d be surprised if Freddie McSwain didn’t start in his last home game, even it Smith ends up with more minutes.
HOLTMANN/JACKSON/JALLOW PREVIEW INDIANA
Interesting stuff here including Holtmann’s thoughts on coming into Assembly Hall and Musa Jallow discussing his return to Bloomington.
