All four of the main national recruiting sites have finalized their rankings for the basketball class of 2024.
Indiana’s lone signee in the class, Maryland-based wing Bryson Tucker, is a consensus national top-30 recruit. He’s ranked in the top-20 according to three of the outlets, and a 5-star according to two.
Here’s how the 6-foot-7 Tucker is ranked by the four most popular national outlets:
- On3: No. 12 (5-star)
- Rivals: No. 20 (5-star)
- ESPN: No. 20 (4-star)
- 247Sports: No. 28 (4-star)
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, which takes an average of all four sites, Tucker is the No. 20 player in the 2024 class, and the No. 7 small forward.
IU coach Mike Woodson is particularly enthusiastic about Tucker’s offensive skill set.
“Bryson has a chance to be impactful for our ballclub right away,” Woodson said of Tucker when he signed with IU last month.
“He has a polished offensive game with the size and strength to get to his spots on the floor. His midrange game is very impressive, and he has the athleticism to get to and score efficiently at the rim. He is a talented young man that we cannot wait to work with when he gets to campus.”
Tucker is the fifth consensus national top-45 high school recruit Woodson has landed in four offseasons at Indiana, joining Mackenzie Mgbako, Malik Reneau, Jalen Hood-Schifino and Tamar Bates.
